I’m a skilled writer and editor with over 18 years experience in creating and developing magazine and online content.

Began my career writing and editing software and hardware reviews as well as feature and news articles for print publications (e.g. Windows Magazine, Windows Sources, Windows Pro and PC Magazine) before making the move to the Web 13 years ago. Beats online have ranged from intranets to enterprise storage to — for much of the last several years — all things mobile and wireless.

I’ve owned or used just about every PDA and smartphone released in the U.S. during this time. First PDA owned: Palm V. First book read on a handheld: David McCullough’s John Adams. Early inkling that this mobile thing could be revolutionary: when I bought some CDs through Barnes & Noble’s Web site while hanging out in Borders; using a Palm Vx attached to a OmniSky Minstrel Wireless Modem. Nowadays my main smartphone is an iPhone.

I am the father of two wonderful, spirited and bright girls and celebrated 13 years of marriage to my wife Jennifer later this year.

Grew up on Long Island, attended college in Albany, and was living in the East Village in New York City when I met my wife while reverse commuting on LIRR from Manhattan to the Island. Turned out we worked at the same publishing company.

We continued to live in the city (Stuyvesant Town and later Hell’s Kitchen) after we met, before moving to the woods of Connecticut for a couple of years, where daily deer sightings were the norm. For the past nine years we’ve happily called St. Louis our home.

Hobbies include listening, collecting and reading about music in a wide variety of genres, running when the stars are aligned properly, watching movies (at home and in the theater), reading (mostly fiction and biographies of musicians) and embarrassing my kids.
